Lotus, Spackman & Phelps - solicitors who make incompetence look cool. Colin Lotus is young and fairly dim; Dick Spackman likes sherry and golf – doesn’t like being in courtrooms and Stella Phelps wonders why she bothers doing anything at all.

Then there's Alison; a bored secretary who is only employed because her estate agent boyfriend gives the firm a lot of work; Bob, the Office Manager, who loves the woman who delivers the sandwiches and Darren, an office boy who doesn't seem to have grasped the concept of being useful.
